COGNAC LHERAUD - Cognac L'Oublie
The Maison Lhéraud is ideally located in the heart of the prestigious Lasdoux estate, in the charming commune of Angeac, benefiting from the Cognac appellation in Charentes. Founded in 1860, it was Alexandre Lhéraud who paved the way by planting the first vines in his family garden, thus laying the foundations of a winemaking expertise passed down from generation to generation. Today, the estate covers 85 hectares of exceptional vineyards, spread over two of the six recognized crus of Cognac, with a marked predominance of the renowned Petite Champagne, known for the finesse and elegance of its eaux-de-vie.
The Lhéraud family passionately and rigorously operates five historic cellars made of blonde Charente stone, where Limousin oak barrels rest peacefully, ensuring a natural and optimal aging of the Cognacs. This perfect alliance between terroir, tradition, and technical mastery gives the Maison's products unmatched quality and authenticity. At the same time, drawing on extensive expertise, Maison Lhéraud also develops a prestigious range of Armagnacs from the Lannepax terroir in Gers, under the brand Baron Gaston Legrand. These unique Armagnacs result from a simple and careful distillation of dry white wines from the typical Ténarèze terroir, carried out in a traditional column still, thus offering a rich and refined aromatic palette.
