Domaine Pattes Loup - Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Jouan 2022
The Domaine Pattes Loup is a family estate of the Chablis Premier Cru appellation, located in Courgis, in the heart of the Chablis vineyard on the slopes of the left bank of the Serein. The estate is managed by Thomas Pico, a winemaker from a local lineage, who took over and expanded the family vineyards by converting them to organic farming with certification obtained in 2009, favoring manual harvesting, low yields, and vinifications with indigenous yeasts to express the purity of the Kimmeridgian Jurassic terroir.
The Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Jouan 2022 is a dry white wine of Premier Cru appellation made exclusively from the Chardonnay grape variety, characteristic of the Chablis region, which gives it great aromatic finesse and a typical expression of the cru. This Premier Cru comes from the Côte de Jouan climate, known for its ability to combine vibrant freshness, mineral tension, and fruity relief thanks to the exposure of the slope and the limestone soil rich in marine fossils that brings salinity and liveliness.
On the palate, this 2022 cuvée reveals a delicate balance between zesty freshness and aromatic depth, where the original minerality and aromas of citrus and white fruits blend with an elegant texture. Ideally served around 10–12 °C, this Chablis Premier Cru brilliantly accompanies sea fish, seafood, crustaceans, or delicate poultry, while offering aging potential allowing the evolution of aromatic nuances over time.
