Domaine Jessica Litaud - Mâcon Fuissé 2024
The Domaine Jessica Litaud is located in Vergisson, in the heart of the Mâconnais, on one of the most prestigious areas in the south of Burgundy. A young estate with an already affirmed identity, it embodies a new generation of committed female winemakers, attached to a precise reading of the terroirs and an artisanal approach to wine. The vines are situated on steep limestone slopes, in immediate proximity to the emblematic rocks of Vergisson and Solutré, benefiting from ideal exposures for Chardonnay. The vineyard work favors the natural balance of the plant, with particular attention paid to the soils and the ripeness of the grapes. Volumes remain deliberately limited, reinforcing the confidential and sought-after character of the estate's cuvées.
The cuvée Mâcon-Fuissé 2024 is made exclusively from Chardonnay, from parcels located on limestone terroirs known for their finesse and their ability to preserve freshness. The 2024 vintage, more temperate and balanced, favors a straight and precise expression of the grape variety, highlighting natural tension and aromatic purity. The vinification is conducted with a low-intervention approach, to fully express the fruit and the identity of the soil. The aging is controlled and discreet, bringing texture without ever masking the brightness of the wine. This cuvée stands out for its clarity and elegance, offering a sincere and contemporary interpretation of Mâcon-Fuissé.
On tasting, the wine opens with clear aromas of fresh white fruits, apple and pear, complemented by delicate floral notes and a lemony touch. The palate is taut, balanced and elegant, supported by a beautiful mineral framework that structures the whole. The texture is precise, with a persistent freshness sensation and a clean, saline and refined finish. This Mâcon-Fuissé 2024 will ideally accompany fish, seafood, delicate poultry or goat cheeses, and can also evolve harmoniously over a few years.
