Domaine Armand Heitz - Pinot Noir 2024
The Domaine Armand Heitz is located in Mimande, near Chassagne-Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. The history of the estate begins in 1857 with the Nié-Vantey family, then owners of vineyards ranging from Santenay to Clos de Vougeot and having a significant trading activity. The Maison Joseph Drouhin purchased their harvest until 2012, the year when Armand Heitz began cultivating the vines himself on a plot of Burgundy Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. After this experience, the estate decided to expand to offer a more diversified range of appellations. Armand Heitz makes permaculture and agroecology his philosophy. Alongside the many experiments implemented in the vineyards to bring life back to the soils, a permaculture garden was established in 2019. In 2021, he continued his pursuit of autonomy and circularity by starting to raise cows and sheep.
This cuvée is made from Pinot Noir grown on schist, marl, and limestone across various plots. The wine is aged 7 months on lees in stainless steel tanks.
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Noir
