Edition Spirits is an independent bottling company founded by brothers Scott and Andrew Laing in Glasgow . They are the sons of Stewart Laing; Director of Hunter Laing and former founder of Douglas Laing. Scott and Andrew joined their father Stewart at Hunter Laing when it parted ways with Douglas Laing in 2013. Edition Spirits became an operating arm of Hunter Laing and the First Editions series was moved to join its portfolio. Although they specialise in Blended and Single Malt whiskies, over the years they have been fortunate to acquire stocks of aged rums, from countries such as Guyana and Jamaica.

In the 17th and 18th centuries, islanders called their locally made spirits Kill Devil. While many of the old superstitions have faded, the Caribbean is still the source of many exotic rums. The Kill Devil series showcases the quality and diversity of rum from the Caribbean and beyond. The Single Casks are specially selected for shipment to Scotland, and are carefully and traditionally bottled by hand.

This rum was pot still distilled in May 2007 in Jamaica. It was aged for 14 years and 241 bottles were produced.
