Bardi d'Alquier - The Firsts 2018

Domaine Bardi d'Alquier (formerly Jean-Michel Alquier) is located in Faugères , in the Languedoc . It was founded in 1870 by the Alquier family and has been built over the generations. In 2017, Sophie and Thibaud Bardi took over the operation; "four hands" with Jean-Michel and Véronique Alquier . The 12-hectare vineyard is located at an altitude of 340 meters on schist and clay hillsides and is certified in organic farming .

Les Premières is a blend of Syrah, Grenache Noir and Mourvèdre grown on grey schist at the bottom of the hillsides. The harvest is partially destemmed and then put into a long vatting process. The wine is aged for 12 to 14 months in partially new barrels .
