National Rums of Jamaica Ltd is located in Kingston, Jamaica . The rum production and export company is jointly owned by the Jamaican government, West Indies Rum Distillery Ltd. from Barbados (which belongs to Maison Ferrand in France) and Demerara Distillers from Guyana. National Rums of Jamaica Ltd consists of two major distilleries: the Long Pond Distillery, in operation for over 250 years, and the Clarendon Distillery, in operation for just over two hundred years.
This edition is a reproduction of the STCE mark, meaning Simon Thompson Cambridge Estate. The rum pays homage to the classification of esters used at the Cambridge distillery which closed in 1947. It contains 550 to 700 gr/hlpa of esters. The rum was distilled in a double pot still at the Long Pond Distillery in 2005 . It was aged for 18 years in a tropical climate in Jamaica. 2,717 bottles were produced from 10 barrels.
