Cognac GROSPERRIN - MMC1 - Pineau - Lot No. 1085 - 17%
The Maison Grosperrin was founded by Jean Grosperrin, who arrived in Cognac in 1991 after working various seasonal jobs such as farm laborer, shepherd, and sheep shearer during the summer. In 1992, he became a country broker, traveling throughout the region to find the rarest and most authentic crus from small local farms. In 1999, Jean Grosperrin took a decisive turn by acquiring several casks of old cognacs. Along with his three stills, this marked the beginning of a unique adventure with Cognacs Grosperrin, renowned for their character and finesse. In 2004, his son Guilhem took over, consolidating stocks and enriching the cellars with carefully selected exceptional cognacs. He also developed a rigorous vineyard parcel selection strategy and launched exclusive contracts with local winegrowers. From 2012 onwards, Guilhem expanded the house's reputation by meeting foreign importers, creating a strong network of passionate enthusiasts and collectors internationally, thus strengthening the notoriety of Cognacs Grosperrin.
MMC1 is a Pineau des Charentes carefully crafted from muté musts sourced from Cognac Grosperrin, aged for a minimum of 8 years in casks that previously held high-quality old cognacs. This Pineau is aged on fine lees, ensuring richness and aromatic complexity, and it is bottled without added sulfur, thus preserving all its authenticity and unique natural flavors.
