Wemyss Malts (pronounced "Weyms’ Malts") is a renowned independent bottler from Scotland. Founded in 2005 by siblings William and Isabella Wemyss, this house draws on a long family tradition linked to the history of Scottish whisky. Indeed, the Wemyss family is heir to a unique legacy since Haig built the very first distillery on their lands located in the prestigious Kingdom of Fife in 1840. These lands have been reserved for decades for the cultivation of the highest quality barley, essential for producing exceptional whiskies. Inspired by his experience with wine blending experts in southern France, William Wemyss set out to create Scottish whiskies that are both bold and unique. As for Isabella Wemyss, endowed with a keen sense of quality, she rigorously selects Single Malts from Scotland as well as the best casks from around the world. Thanks to the expertise of their trusted Master Blender, they craft innovative creations, rich in flavor and refined, for the greatest pleasure of fine spirits enthusiasts.

The term "New Make" refers to the raw alcohol, with a high alcohol content, obtained directly from distillation before any significant maturation. This unaged spirit or very lightly aged spirit is appreciated for its purity and authentic expression of the initial aromatic profile of the distillate. It constitutes a valuable base for creating premium whiskies or for tasting a product with a raw and innovative character.
