RUCHOTTES CHAMBERTIN Dominique LAURENT 1998

Having acquired a real notoriety with the wines from his trade, Dominique Laurent has also created since 2006 and with the help of his son a small structure of producer-breeder from vines leased to a winegrower from Vosne-Romanée. He does not take care of the vinification but of the aging and bottling. He still closely supervises the vinifications. The father and the son like to work with musts which have not been destemmed and to produce wines without sulfur. They use new barrels, the signature of the house. The whole range of Dominique Laurent wines has as a common denominator a great purity, and an ability to be accessible at any age. This recipe has proven itself with enthusiasts around the world.

Ruchottes-Chambertin is the lightest of the Chambertin type wines. Racy and complex, it develops concentrated aromas of blackcurrant and spices. The 1998 vintage was an exceptional year in this climate. A great wine for a great time!
