Domaine Payen - Cuvée Prélud - Grolleau Rouge 2024
Domaine Payen is located in Chaudefonds sur Layon, in the Loire Valley. The estate was taken over at the end of 2023 by Ludovic Payen , with approximately 28 hectares of vines being converted to organic farming . He cultivates Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Grolleau and Cabernet Sauvignon in particular on the schist terroir characteristic of Anjou Noir. The wines are produced with minimal intervention.
Prélud Rouge is made from Grolleau wine, infused for a week. The wine is aged in stainless steel vats.
