Château Marjosse - White 2024
Château Marjosse Blanc 2024, owned by Pierre Lurton, who also owns Cheval Blanc and Yquem, perfectly expresses the freshness and purity of the Entre-Deux-Mers region. Located in Tizac-de-Curton, the estate covers a clay-limestone terroir where the white grape varieties achieve an ideal balance between maturity and liveliness. The vinification process is carried out with the same rigor as in the finest vintages: precise selection, plot-by-plot work, and respect for the fruit.
The 2024 vintage is characterized by its tension and aromatic clarity, the result of a temperate summer and slow grape ripening. The blend brings together Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and Sauvignon Gris grape varieties, vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve the brightness and aromatic purity. Part of the cuvée benefits from a short aging on fine lees, bringing volume and texture.
The nose seduces with aromas of fresh citrus, acacia blossom, and white peach, enhanced by a hint of boxwood and lemon zest. On the palate, the wine combines liveliness and roundness, with a crystalline structure and a silky texture. The long, saline finish stretches out with notes of white-fleshed fruit and wet stone, marked by a precise and persistent freshness.
A modern and elegant Bordeaux Blanc, perfect as an aperitif or with seafood, grilled fish, or fresh goat cheese. Serve between 10 and 12°C.
