Château Harmonie - Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2019
The 2019 Château Harmonie, in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation, embodies the balance and purity of expression for which the great wines of the Right Bank are renowned. Located on the clay-limestone and sandy-gravel slopes of the appellation, the estate benefits from an ideal terroir for Merlot and Cabernet Franc, cultivated with respect for the environment and harvested at perfect ripeness.
The 2019 vintage was distinguished by remarkable climatic conditions: a hot but not excessively hot summer, and harvests in dry and bright weather, guaranteeing concentrated, balanced grapes with great aromatic purity. The vinification, carried out in small vats, and the aging in French oak barrels (including a measured proportion of new ones) allowed for a refined texture while preserving the freshness of the fruit.
The nose reveals an expressive bouquet of black cherry, plum, and blackberry, enhanced by notes of vanilla, cocoa, and noble wood. On the palate, the body is dense and velvety, supported by silky, perfectly integrated tannins. The mid-palate, ample and harmonious, reveals the roundness of Merlot and the tension of Cabernet Franc. The finish, long and flavorful, stretches with nuances of sweet spices, blond tobacco, and black fruits.
