The Penderyn Distillery is ideally located at the southern end of the Brecon Beacons National Park, in the heart of Wales. Distillation was once a lost art here, but in the late 1990s, a group of passionate friends decided to revive the tradition by creating the very first whisky distillery in Wales in over a century. The choice of the historic village of Penderyn is no coincidence: it benefits from an exceptional natural spring water supply, ensuring the purity and finesse of the whisky. The official launch of their whisky took place on St. David's Day in 2004, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Charles, highlighting the prestige of this craft distillery.

The Penderyn Dragon range was born in 2015, featuring the mythical red dragon as the national symbol of Wales. Its motto "Y ddraig goch ddyry cychwyn," meaning "The red dragon inspires action," embodies the passion and strength of the whisky. This limited edition, exclusively selected for France by Clos des Spiritueux, stands out for its unique maturation in three exceptional wine casks: grand cru, muscat from the Setúbal region in Portugal, and Oloroso sherry, bringing complexity and elegance to each bottle.
