Mezan rums are rums from islands or countries of the West Indies and South or Central America . They are produced from a distillation of a single vintage, aged in oak barrels and bottled one barrel at a time, when ripe, under the supervision of the cellar master.

Jamaica 2006 is produced by the Mount Gay distillery, one of the oldest distilleries in Jamaica, located in Valle Lluidas. It is made from molasses distilled in a pot still. It was aged in ex-Bourbon barrels for 3 years in a tropical climate and 13 years in a continental climate in Europe.
