Isle of Arran Destilleri (Whisky)

The Arran Malt är ett destilleri för Single Malt beläget på Arranön, på västkusten av Skottland. Det producerar en variation av whiskys med en rad olika uttryck och finishar. Destilleriet byggdes 1995 på norra delen av ön vid Lochranza och nära Loch na Davie, Arrans vattenkälla. Gristen (det malda kornet som kokande vatten tillsätts för att bilda mäsk) köptes ursprungligen, men en kvarn har nu installerats. Arran Malt är känt för sin fräscha och syrliga karaktär, vilket kan bero på den långsamma destilleringen i alambicerna.

Genom att bygga Distillerie Lagg i november 2017 flyttade Isle of Arran Distillers all produktion av torvrökt whisky till sin nya anläggning i södra delen av ön.
