Maison Mounicq - Fine de Bordeaux - Ô Chartrons - 40.1% | Clos des Spiritueux
The Maison Mounicq embodies Bordeaux excellence in artisanal spirits. Founded in 2017 by Cédrik Nadé in Bordeaux, this family business perpetuates a unique know-how inspired by the winemaking tradition of Fronsac. Coming from a small family estate, Cédrik Nadé rigorously selects the best grapes from the Bordeaux terroir to create exceptional spirits.
The Fine de Bordeaux "Ô Chartrons" is the result of a prestigious collaboration between Maison Mounicq and Michel Jacquin, a recognized winemaker and distiller at Château Lartigue-Cèdres, located in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers. This refined spirit is made from noble grape varieties: Ugni Blanc and Sémillon. After careful distillation in a traditional copper still, this grape eau-de-vie reveals all the subtleties of the Bordeaux terroir.
The Ô Chartrons cuvée stands out for its rare blend of 3 Fine de Bordeaux barrels: a 2020 barrel aged 3 years, a 2019 barrel aged 4 years, and a 2017 barrel seasoned by 6 years of aging. This precise combination gives the Fine de Bordeaux a remarkable aromatic complexity, combining elegance, roundness, and finesse.
