TAYLOR'S - Porto - 20 years
The Taylor's Porto House, globally recognized for its excellence, is ideally located in Vila Nova de Gaia, on the south bank of the majestic Douro River, opposite the iconic city of Porto, in Portugal. Founded in 1692 by Job Bearsley, Taylor's is one of the oldest and most prestigious producers of Port, benefiting from a heritage rich in traditional know-how. Today, the house is proudly managed by the Yeatman family, who have passionately upheld a commitment for over 200 years to producing superior quality wines. The grapes used for these exceptional wines mostly come from vineyards located in the heart of the Douro Valley, a prestigious region where the unique Mediterranean climate and schist soils give the grapes incomparable aromatic characteristics. Taylor's also stands out for its diversification by offering still wines from the Douro vineyards as well as other renowned terroirs of Portugal, notably the famous Alentejo region, thus strengthening its essential position in the Portuguese fine wine market.
This 20-year-old Porto is a Tawny style wine, carefully aged to maturity over two decades in large 630-liter oak casks, allowing the development of complex notes of dried fruits, spices, and caramel. This exceptional aging guarantees a perfect balance between sweetness, depth, and finesse, making this wine a preferred choice for enthusiasts and connoisseurs seeking an exceptional Port to accompany refined desserts or gourmet tasting moments.
