Domaine Elodie Roy - Maranges - En Buliet 2020

Domaine Elodie Roy is located in Cheilly-lès-Maranges, in the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. Elodie Roy initially obtained a law degree then completed an internship in Banking before reorienting herself towards a Master in Wines and Spirits. After 11 years working in Vosne-Romanée at Domaine Anne Gros in Côte de Nuits, she decided to take over the exploitation of the family vineyard planted by her grandfather and her father. A few years later, she created her own vineyard by exploiting 10 hectares on several appellations. She works in a sustainable way, with sustainable viticulture, more respectful of the soil and the environment. Her first vintage was vinified in 2018, with her wines available for sale from 2019. All the vineyard is vinified by her, and part is sold to the merchant to be able to invest in equipment or in the renovation of the storage building.

The Maranges En Buliet Blanc comes from 0.73 hectares of vines which are around 20 years old. Fermentation takes place in vats, then aging lasts 11 months in 228-litres French oak barrels (30% of which are new), then 2 additional months in vats.

Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
