DOMAINE PIERRE CROS - Between the vine and the sea 2017

Tireless fighter of the soil, Pierre Cros should have his statue in the center of Badens.
In an appellation where the heresy of globalized viticulture reigns more and more to the detriment of its origins, Domaine Pierre Cros continues to proclaim loud and clear the values of its heritage.

Peter is first of all a whole man. And, if this former rugby player faces only the harshness of his profession, his desire to express the authentic terroir of Domaine Pierre Cros and his Cathar country quickly placed him above the fray.

The Domaine Pierre Cros vineyard is planted on very poor and shallow clay-limestone soils. The source rock rises and outcrops in some places! Planted with native grape varieties, some of which are centuries old, we find Carignan (1905), Alicante (1927), Aramon (1930) and Picquepoul noir (1910). But also, for the cuvée Les Aspres, the centenary Syrah. Domaine Pierre Cros wines are a reflection of man: generous. Great wines of pure happiness.

So many reasons to give to answer these questions. An interest, a passion transmitted by the culture of my family, my entourage. I have met many people who have helped me to continue my work on the Domaine Pierre Cros, in times of doubt that everyone can experience. My wines are me. And me, it's my wine.

My wines from Domaine Pierre Cros stand out from those of other winegrowers because they represent who I am, my way of being, my personality. And no one can imitate me better than me. The world of wine has developed very rapidly over the last century. I make it a point of honor to be faithful to my first ideas, to get the best out of my region.
