Cheval Blanc or the high nobility of one of the most famous appellations throughout the world, Saint-Émilion. Everything here, from the vine to the bottling, embodies excellence and the most demanding know-how. The terroir, a mosaic of sands, clays and gravel, concentrates the best of the appellation and, by its well-controlled water deficiencies, allows low yields for grapes rich in matter.
The 2 grape varieties - Cabernet Franc and Merlot, the first slightly dominating the second - come from mass selections from very old vines. The harvest, carried out manually as it should be for such grapes, are sorted 3 times before precise and meticulous vinification, in new oak barrels and purchased from 7 coopers.
