Château de Bois Brinçon - Crémant de Loire - Brut Nature 2022
In the heart of Anjou, Château de Bois Brinçon produces a Crémant de Loire of great purity, faithful to the spirit of the house: revealing the limestone energy of the Loire terroirs without artifice. Produced by hand and with precise plot work, this Brut Nature 2022 assumes a straightforward and luminous style, where freshness takes precedence over roundness and where the bubble becomes a vector of expression of the soil rather than a simple stylistic effect.
The production follows the traditional method in its most demanding interpretation. The grape clusters are pressed whole to extract a clear and precise juice, fermentation takes place at low temperatures to preserve the fruit's crispness, then the wine is drawn the following spring for its secondary fermentation in the bottle. The aging continues on slats to refine the texture and gain aromatic complexity, without ever weighing down the profile. When tasting, the absence of expedition liqueur signifies the frankness of Brut Nature: no added sugar, only the intrinsic balance of the wine.
The nose opens with a clean and elegant palette, between white flowers, ripe lemon, crisp apple and fresh pear, complemented by fine touches of chalk and almond. On the palate, the attack is chiseled and abundant with fine bubbles; the heart of the palate combines tension and suppleness, with a delicate salinity that constantly revives the persistence. The finish, long and straight, unfolds notes of zesty citrus, wet stone and a subtle brioche reminiscence from the aging on lees.
At the table, this Crémant de Loire excels as an aperitif thanks to its energy and precision. It enhances oysters and shellfish, raw and marinated fish (sea bass ceviche, sashimi), grilled white-fleshed fish, but also fine poultry in light sauces, vegetable dishes with fresh herbs, and Loire goat cheeses. Serve it between 8 and 10°C in a tulip glass to allow the bubbles to develop and the aromas to express themselves; it will shine now and continue to gain complexity over two to four years after disgorging.
