The White of Alain Brumont - Pacherenc Du Vic-Bilh Sec 2024
Alain Brumont is a key figure in the Southwest vineyard, renowned for having restored the Madiran appellation to its former glory. In the 1980s, he broke with the region's traditional practices to impose an ambitious vision of Tannat , a native grape variety long considered rustic and difficult. Today, Alain Brumont is at the head of nearly 300 hectares of vines and his wines are renowned worldwide for their character, longevity and precision. He owns two properties: Château Montus and Château Bouscassé .
Alain Brumont's Blanc is a cuvée from new plots on the Bouscassé hill. The young vines are planted on virgin clay-limestone soil that has been untapped for over 50 years. It is a blend of Petit Courbu (80%) and Petit Manseng (20%) . The wine is aged for 10 months on fine lees , in stainless steel vats with stirring.
Grape varieties: 80% Petit Courbu, 20% Petit Manseng
