Château de Pibarnon - Rosé 2022
Château de Pibarnon is located on the heights of La Cadière-d'Azur, in the Bandol appellation area of Provence . The modern history of the estate began in 1977, when Count Henri de Saint-Victor acquired the property after being seduced by a wine he tasted in Paris. With his wife Catherine, they undertook to transform the estate, rebuilding the country house in the 18th-century Provençal style and modernizing the winemaking facilities. Their son, Éric de Saint-Victor , joined them in 1989 after training in Bordeaux, notably at Château Cheval Blanc. The vineyard extends over restanques (dry stone terraces) forming a natural amphitheater facing southeast, protected from the mistral wind. The soils, of Triassic origin, are rich in limestone and blue clay. Château de Pibarnon practices environmentally friendly viticulture , with a strong orientation towards biodynamic cultivation.
