GRAHAM'S PORTO - 10 years old
Discover the Graham’s 10 years old Porto at Clos des Spiritueux, an essential reference for lovers of exceptional spirits. Graham's is a prestigious house in the Douro Valley, northern Portugal, renowned for its exceptional Port wines. Founded at the beginning of the 19th century, Graham’s history began in Glasgow when William and John Graham, then textile merchants, received a cask of Port as settlement of a debt. This event marked the start of an adventure that continues today, the house now owned by the Symington family, who also lead famous houses such as Dow's and Warre's.
Remarkably, Graham’s 10 years old Porto was the favorite choice of Sir Winston Churchill (when he was not enjoying his other passion, Pol Roger champagne), and was served aboard the legendary liner RMS Queen Mary.
The Graham’s range stands out for its great diversity of styles, including the famous Tawny Porto. This cuvée, made from a meticulous blend of traditional grape varieties such as Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Francesa, and Touriga Nacional, is aged in 534-liter oak barrels for 10 years. This aging gives Graham's 10 years old Porto an incomparable aromatic complexity, combining notes of dried fruits, caramel, fig, and delicate spices.
