Kracher - Trockenbeerenauslese - TBA Nr 6 - Grande cuvée Nouvelle Vague 2011
The Kracher estate has been in the Kracher family for three generations.
Alois Kracher took over the estate in 1981 from his father and created a new style of sweet wines with a finesse and balance that did not exist before. Since the 1991 vintage, he has become one of the most renowned sweet wine winemakers in the world having received the trophy for best winemaker seven times.
The estate stretches between the village of Illmitz and the shores of Lake Neusiedl. The grape varieties are composed as follows:50% Welschriesling, 20% Chardonnay, 10% Traminer, 10% Schereube, 5% Muscat Ottonel, 5% others.
It is thanks to the proximity of Lake Neusiedl that Botrytis Cinerea (noble rot) will develop. As in all regions producing sweet wines, this combination of humidity and heat (Cirons in Sauternes) will promote the appearance of this fungus on the berries and thus allow the grapes to dry out while providing concentration and complexity.
The Trockenbeerenauslese TBA n ° 6 - Grande cuvée Nouvelle vague is fermented in new casks of 1000 liters for the Welschriesling grape variety and the Chardonnay is vinified in new French oak barrels, all for 20 months. 206 grams of sugars and 10.5% alcohol make this wine an example of balance. A very great sweet wine!
All the spirits offered are in stock and also available in our store at 3 rue Lucien Faure in BORDEAUX - Line stop B/7/32 Cité du vin
