Domaine Alexandre Hote - Tavel Finalité 2024
Domaine Alexandre Hote is among the most unique new voices of Tavel, in the southern Rhône valley. Established between Tavel and Lirac since 2019, Alexandre Hote works a small vineyard area with an artisanal, organic, and very low-intervention approach. His world is based on a search for sincerity, freshness, and fruit, far from wines fixed by extraction or oenological artifices. In this appellation historically dedicated to characterful rosés, the estate offers a personal, lively, and deeply rooted interpretation in the local terroirs. Tavel Finalité 2024 holds a special place as it is the only blended wine of the estate, conceived as a synthesis of the three main geological components of the appellation. Sands, limestones, and rolled pebbles respond to each other here to compose a complete wine, both bright, textured, and energetic. Domaine Alexandre Hote Tavel Finalité 2024 thus expresses the richness of Tavel in a natural, precise, and decidedly contemporary version.
The Tavel Finalité 2024 cuvée is made from a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Clairette, three grape varieties each bringing an essential nuance to the wine's balance. Grenache provides body, breadth, ripe red fruit notes, and the sunny dimension typical of the southern Rhône. Cinsault adds suppleness, finesse, a lighter touch, and a sensation of freshness in the texture. Clairette, rarer in this type of balance, contributes brightness, tension, and a form of aromatic delicacy. The three dominant terroirs of Tavel also contribute to the wine's construction: sands favor finesse and fruit, limestones bring structure and freshness, while rolled pebbles enhance ripeness and depth. This cuvée thus seeks to unite several faces of the appellation in the same balance without losing the estate's spontaneous energy. Tavel Finalité 2024 presents itself as a wine of character but also of movement, between Mediterranean generosity and drinkability.
On tasting, Domaine Alexandre Hote Tavel Finalité 2024 offers an intense, bright color, between deep pink and light red depending on the serving and the wine's evolution. The nose may evoke ripe strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant, cherry, dried flowers, sweet spices, and a touch of garrigue. On the palate, the wine is juicy, ample, and very lively, with a fruity body carried by clear freshness. Grenache brings volume, Cinsault lightens the structure, and Clairette gives momentum to the whole. The finish remains savory, slightly spicy, with a beautiful sensation of red fruit and discreet minerality. This Tavel will ideally accompany grilled dishes, roasted poultry, Mediterranean cuisine, candied vegetables, pork chop, heirloom tomato salad, or slightly spicy dishes. It can be enjoyed young, slightly chilled, around 12 to 14 °C, to preserve its brightness and energy.
