Arnaldo Caprai - 25 Anni Sagrantino di Montefalco 2019

Arnaldo Caprai is located in Montefalco , Umbria, Italy . The estate was founded in 1971 by Arnaldo Caprai, a businessman specializing in textiles. He initially purchased a 5-hectare plot of land in Montefalco and immediately began expanding his vineyard. His son Marco Caprai, who took over in 1988, is widely credited with making the estate the first major producer of Sagrantino di Montefalco. Environmental protection , rational use of energy, innovation and change are the basis of the Caprai company's business strategies. The Arnaldo Caprai Company, knowing and loving the Montefalco region deeply, is also committed to recovering local cultural identity and territorial origins.

Arnaldo Caprai's most famous wine is the 25 Anni Sagrantino di Montefalco , which was first made in 1993 for the 25th anniversary. It comes from Sagrantino aged for a total of 30 months: 24 months in French oak barrels and minimum 6 months in bottle . It has an aging potential of over 20 years.
