Clos des Centenaires - Grenache Vielles Vignes 2019

Le Clos des Centenaires is located in the Costières-de-Nîmes appellation and covers 7 hectares of a hill of rolled pebbles Villafranchiens. Le Clos des Centenaires is owned by Luc Baudet and his wife Stéphanie. The soils are cultivated in natural grass with superficial plowing and special care given to the biodynamic compost that they prepare each year. Inputs are limited to natural products approved in organic farming, without pesticides.

The Grenache Vieilles Vignes is made from 100% Grenache. Vinification takes place in concrete vats and the grapes are not destemmed. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts. The extraction is done by pumping over, and without punching down. The aging takes place in 400-litres barrels of second use.
