Domaine Peyre Rose - Marlene Soria - White Oro 2004 Coteaux du Languedoc The history of the estate Peyre Rose begins with Marlene Soria in the 1980s. Following a brilliant career in real estate she seeks to find refuge in little piece of nature not far from Montpellier. Then she decides to convert the scrubland into vines, driven by a desire for creativity and art found in the wine. In 3 years, the 17 ha of the estate are planted entirely in organic. The first winemaking starts in 1988 and the success is not slow to be felt. The vineyard is growing to reach today an area of ​​24ha which are under the tender and careful supervision of Marlene Soria. The estate's wines are clearly enhanced by aging thanks to the long ten years of breeding and harvesting and plot monitoring. This vintage of Oro white wine is a blend of Rolle, Roussanne and Viognier which has been aged for several years in vats before reaching this fragile balance between scissoring and sweetness. Probably one of the greatest white wines of Languedoc but this vintage is also a real small rarity that the Clos des Millésimes is proud to present.
