Coming from a selection of plots bringing together more than 70 hectares of vines, the Unico wine lasts 7 years in French and American oak barrels then continues aging for 2 years in the bottle. This long aging, one of the oldest in the world, gives this wine a unique character, inimitable and unparalleled.
The 2008 Vega Sicilia Unico offers the certainty of an intense moment of tasting. Deep red with bluish reflections, the color impresses with the concentration of color. The power of its nose reveals the intensity of the notes of cherry, ripe black fruits and spices. The palate is bewitched by a large mouthful, with a fleshy texture revealing a delicate fruity aromatic complexity. Very long, the finish ends with magnificent round, gourmet and well-structured tannins.
