David Reynaud is passionate and, although he can talk to you for hours on end about his work and his wines, he is a discreet man.
He much prefers to be on his tractor in the middle of his vines or in his winery to prepare his blends. Only tastings of a good vintage or a good meat can keep this epicurean away from his estate. David Reynaud is a follower of nature and of "eating well and drinking well", his attachment to organic farming and biodynamics result from his personal commitment and the values he defends. David's philosophy is illustrated by the investment and love he puts into his work.
Grape variety: 100% Syrah
Terroir: clay-limestone terraces in the town of Beaumont-Monteux Draining soil with detrital pebbles
Cultural methods: Cultivation of the vine in conversion certified by Ecocert. Disbudding, lifting, elimination of inter-heart and green harvesting is done manually.
Vinification: harvest and manual sorting on feet and on a sorting table. 100% destemming Vatting and devatting by gravity Traditional vinification in raw concrete vats Vatting 28-32 days with punching down, pressing with a vertical press at low pressure Aging for 8 months in raw concrete vats.
