Prohibition Liquor Co is located in Adelaide, South Australia . The brand is inspired by Prohibition in the 1920s; gin was the alcohol of choice, produced by smugglers. The company was founded in 2015 by two spirits-loving friends who sought to create high-quality, artisanal products. Prohibition Liquor Co's product range includes a variety of spirits including gin, whisky, vodka and brandy. They are distilled in a copper still called "Mary". Prohibition Liquor Co is also committed to sustainable and ethical production practices . The distillery uses organic and local ingredients , and minimizes waste and energy consumption during production.

Prohibition Christmas Gin is a limited edition produced for Christmas 2023. This is the gin to which are added: figs from the Adelaide Hills, citrus fruits from Riverland, cherries and late-harvested Chardonnay grapes, as well as spices from Classic Christmas (cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves).
