Destiladores da Ilha de Arran (Whisky)

Arran Malt é uma destilaria de Single Malt localizada na ilha de Arran, na costa oeste da Escócia. Produz uma variedade de whiskies com uma gama de expressões e acabamentos diferentes. A destilaria foi construída em 1995 na parte norte da ilha em Lochranza e perto do Loch na Davie, a fonte de água de Arran. O grist (o grão moído ao qual se adiciona água fervente para formar o mosto) era comprado originalmente, mas agora foi instalado um moinho. O Malt de Arran é conhecido pelo seu caráter fresco e ácido, que pode resultar da lentidão com que os alambiques destilam.

Ao construir a Destilaria Lagg em novembro de 2017, a Isle of Arran Distillers transferiu toda a produção de whisky turfado para o seu novo local no sul da ilha.
