Château La Baronne - Le Rolle 2023
Domaine La Baronne is located at the foot of the Montagne d'Alaric, in the Corbières massif in Languedoc . Owned by the Lignères family since 1957, this estate is managed by a line of passionate doctor-winemakers, who have been cultivating vines for five generations. The Lignères family, with its dual medical and winemaking heritage, adopts a holistic approach to viticulture, aiming to produce authentic and nature-friendly wines. Since 2007, the estate has been certified organic, and since 2012, biodynamic . The vineyard covers approximately 90 hectares, at an altitude of between 100 and 200 meters. It benefits from great geological diversity, with clay-limestone soils, blue marl and gravelly terraces, from four major geological eras. The warm and windy Mediterranean climate is tempered by underground water reserves, favoring quality viticulture.
NW Le Rolle is made from Vermentino , the vines of which are 25 years old. After the manual harvest, the harvest is sorted in the vineyard and in the cellar before destemming. Vinification is carried out in small stainless steel vats, in jars (dolia) and in stoneware eggs. The wine is aged for 6 months in jars and stoneware eggs .
Grape variety: 100% Rolle (Vermentino)
