Domaine de La Mordorée - The Queen of the Woods 2022
Domaine de la Mordorée is located in Tavel, in the southern Rhône region . It was founded in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his son Christophe. Today, the estate is managed by Madeleine Delorme, Christophe's wife, and their daughter Ambre, who continue the work initiated by Christophe with the team he trained. The vineyard covers 42 hectares spread across eight communes and produces several renowned appellations, including Tavel, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac, Côtes-du-Rhône, and Condrieu. The entire vineyard has been certified biodynamic since 2020.
La Reine des Bois 2022 is a blend of Grenache (75%), Syrah (10%), Mourvèdre (10%), Counoise (3%) and Vaccarese (2%) . The harvest is destemmed, then crushed and macerated for up to 30 days. The wine is aged in vats (80%) and barrels (20%) .
