Château Le Puy - Marie Cécile 2023

Château Le Puy is located in Libourne , Bordeaux . It has belonged to the Amoreau family since 1610 and today it is the fifteenth generation that manages the estate, with Jean-Pierre and Pascal Amoreau . The vineyard today extends over 51 hectares divided into three plots. From 1990, they began research into aging their wines without the addition of sulphites. These wines, made from perfectly sorted grapes, which are not sulphated or yeasted or chaptalized during fermentation, are aged for 24 months without the addition of sulfur dioxide. They are therefore raised by stirring according to a precise lunar calendar ( certified biodynamic breeding since 2012 ). These wines are the pure “Original Expression of Terroir”, as indicated on the label.

The Marie-Cécile vintage is made entirely from Sémillon . Vinification and aging are carried out by dynamization in barrels according to the phases of the moon. This natural wine is bottled without the addition of sulphites and is consumed young.
