Bret Brothers - La Soufrandière - Pouilly Vinzelles - Les Quarts 2021

La Soufrandière ligt in Vinzelles, in het Mâconnais in Bourgogne. Het domein omvat 11 hectare Chardonnay-wijngaarden binnen de appellaties Mâcon-Vinzelles, Pouilly-Vinzelles, Saint-Véran, Pouilly-Fuissé en Bourgogne Aligoté. In 2000 vinificeerden Jean-Philippe en Jean-Guillaume Bret hun eerste jaargang. Ze behaalden een certificering in biologische landbouw en later in biodynamiek in 2006. In 2001 richtten de twee broers, samen met de derde, Marc-Antoine Bret, hun handelshuis "Artisan" op; Bret Brothers. Ze produceren in totaal 20 micro-cuvées – elke wijn vertegenwoordigt een perceel en een wijnbouwer.

Climat "Les Quarts" wordt gemaakt van Chardonnay-druivenstokken van 45 tot 80 jaar oud. Ze worden geteeld op een perceel van 2 hectare binnen de appellatie Pouilly-Vinzelles. De druiven worden met de hand geoogst, vervolgens gevinifieerd door La Soufrandière en gerijpt en gebotteld door Bret Brothers. De malolactische gisting wordt niet geblokkeerd. De rijping vindt plaats in vaten en tanks gedurende 17 maanden.

Druivensoort: 100% Chardonnay
