Domaine des Huards - Werk 2015

Domaine des Huards ligt in Cour-Cheverny, in de vallei van de Loire. De familie Gendrier is sinds 1846 wijnbouwer op Domaine des Huards en beheert de wijngaard volgens biologische en biodynamische landbouwpraktijken sinds 1998. Vanaf 1922 produceert de familie wijnen gemaakt van de Romorantin-druif. In 1950 werden vier hectare wijngaard verbouwd, voornamelijk bestaande uit de Romorantin-druif. In de jaren 1960 lag de nadruk op de ontwikkeling en groei van de wijngaard. Tegenwoordig wordt het domein beheerd door Jocelyne en Michel Gendrier.

Werk bestaat voornamelijk uit Pinot Noir. De druiven worden direct in de tanks geplaatst met behulp van een transportband met lift. De fermentatie vindt plaats met natuurlijke gisten. De druiven worden licht geperst. Na de malolactische fermentatie wordt de wijn enkele maanden gerijpt voordat hij wordt gebotteld.

Druivensoorten: Overwegend Pinot Noir
