Château des Coulinats 1967

Château des Coulinats ligt in Gabarnac, in de appellatie Sainte-Croix-du-Mont. Deze kleine regio ligt op ongeveer veertig kilometer ten zuiden van Bordeaux, tegenover de Sauternais. De gehele gemeente beslaat 850 hectare, waarvan 450 hectare wijngaard. De appellatie Sainte-Croix-du-Mont beschikt over een wijngaard met een waardevol terroir voor de productie van een grote witte zoete wijn: het is gebouwd op een panoramisch plateau gevormd door enorme lagen fossiele oesters die zich in het tertiaire tijdperk hebben opgehoopt. Château des Coulinats behoort al 6 generaties toe aan de familie Brun en wordt tegenwoordig beheerd door Thomas Meilhan, agronoom en oenoloog.

Deze wijn is een blend van Sémillon en Sauvignon Blanc geproduceerd van botrytiseerde druiven. 1967 wordt beschouwd als een uitstekend oogstjaar in Sainte-Croix-du-Mont.
