AGRIPUNICA - Barrua 2016

AgriPunica (spa Agricola Punica) is een domein gevestigd op Sardinië, gevormd als een joint venture tussen de Sardijnse coöperatie Cantina di Santadi en Tenuta San Guido, de producent van een van de beroemdste wijnen van Italië, Sassacaia. Het produceert twee rode wijnen op basis van de Carignano-druif en één witte wijn. Het bedrijf werd gelanceerd in 2002, nadat de beroemde Italiaanse wijnmaker Giacomo Tachis interesse kreeg in Sardinië en de wijnmaker van Sassacaia, Sebastiano Rosa, overtuigde om daar grond te kopen. In samenwerking met Cantine Santadi kocht Rosa twee domeinen, Barrua en Narcao, gelegen in het zuidwesten van het eiland.

De eigendommen behoren tot de DOC-zone Carignano del Sulcis. De wijnen worden echter geproduceerd onder de Isola dei Nuraghi IGT om meer opties te bieden qua assemblage.

Barrua is de bekroonde vlaggenschipwijn van AgriPunica, samengesteld uit 85% Carignano met een beetje Cabernet Sauvignon en Merlot. Hij rijpt gedurende 18 maanden in Franse eikenhouten vaten, waarvan 30% nieuw is. De wijn rijpt 12 maanden op fles voordat hij op de markt komt.

Druivensoorten: 85% Carignano, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot

Alle gedistilleerde dranken die wij u aanbieden zijn op voorraad en ook op aanvraag beschikbaar in onze winkel gewijd aan de wijnen Clos des Millésimes op 3 Rue Lucien Faure in Bordeaux.
