Frescobaldi - Tenuta Luce della Vite - LUCE - Brunello di Montalcino 2015

Luce della Vite is een producent uit Montalcino in Toscane. Luce della Vite werd begin jaren 1990 opgericht als een samenwerking tussen Robert Mondavi en Marchesi de 'Frescobaldi. Het eigendom ging volledig over naar Lamberto Frescobaldi in 2002.

Het domein ligt ten zuidwesten van de stad Montalcino en telt in totaal 77 hectare wijngaarden. De Sangiovese is geplant op hoger gelegen en goed gedraineerde bodems, terwijl de Merlot is geplant op meer klei- en zandachtige bodems. De percelen van de twee druivensoorten worden apart gevinifieerd en vervolgens samengevoegd voor de rijping.

Luce della Vite produceert ook een wijn Brunello di Montalcino afkomstig van een deel van vijf hectare van het domein, geregistreerd onder de appellatie Brunello di Montalcino DOCG. De Brunello di Montalcino wordt exclusief gemaakt van Sangiovese Grosso-druiven die worden geteeld op de hellingen rond Montalcino. Sangiovese Grosso is de grofkorrelige vorm van Sangiovese.

Druivensoort: 100% Sangiovese Grosso
